Dine, Dance, Party In the New Year

At the Hotel Bel-Air

dscn02941new-years-eve-2007-009Not only is the Hotel Bel-Air–  my favorite hotel/restaurant –dishing out an awesome New Year’s Eve menu they’re serving my favorite bubbly, Dom Ruinart, which your Dining Diva finds  superior to Dom Perignon. If you haven’t made plans you might want to consider celebrating in style at this chic, celebrity magnet. Who knows you just might spot a star or two. R.J. Wagner and his gorgeous wife Jill St. John are regulars, but so are some of the younger crowd. The Terrace and the Dining Room look so festive dressed up with Holiday decor. Blazing fireplaces enhance the mood (In winter I always book the table by the outdoor fireplace, so warm and cozy).dscn0294The  attentive wait staff –many of whom have been with hotel for years) combined with  diva-liscious food, a serene, secluded, sanctuary-like environment  and you have all the fixing  for an especially romantic evening to ring in the New Year and toss out the old–which most of us can’t do soon enough. The evening begins with a hampagne reception and live entertainment and moves along to dinner at 9 and dancing from 10 PM to 1 AM. And if you want to really keep the festivities going, head back over for New Year’s Day brunch, accompanied by the music of harpist Julia Cunningham,  served from 11 AM to 2:30 PM, bound to be your best and first morning meal of 2009.
Anyhow here’s a sneak preview of  the scrumptiou menu:
